Brooklyn Brewery — Brooklyn Lager & Pilsner
Brooklyn Brewery was founded in 1988 by former Middle East correspondent Steve Hindy and banker Tom Potter, reviving brewing in a borough that had once been home to dozens of breweries before Prohibition. Brooklyn Lager, the flagship, is a 5.2% ABV Amber Lager modeled on pre-Prohibition New York lagers, dry-hopped for a grapefruit-and-pine aroma; Brooklyn Pilsner is the lighter, crisper sibling.
