Roederer Estate — Anderson Valley Brut & Brut Rosé Sparkling Wine
Roederer Estate is Champagne Louis Roederer’s California venture — founded in 1982 when then-president Jean-Claude Rouzaud went looking for American terroir capable of producing world-class sparkling wine, and chose Mendocino County’s cool, fog-shrouded Anderson Valley over the more obvious choices of Napa or Sonoma. The vineyards were planted in 1984, the winery built in 1986, and the first Anderson Valley Brut released in 1988.
