Created in 1912, Cordon Bleu is one of Martell's most recognized expressions and one of the first XO-style cognacs ever released. It is built around a high proportion of Borderies cru eaux-de-vie — the smallest and rarest of the six Cognac crus — giving it a signature violet-and-hazelnut character distinct from Grande Champagne-driven cognacs.
